After completing her studies at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory in 1954, she became a revered teacher and choral director, notably leading the Istanbul University Classical Turkish Music Choir from 1963 onward. Throughout her career, she played a crucial role in establishing conservatories across Turkey and contributed significantly to the Turkish music scene, including hosting radio concerts for many years. Altmışdört passed away, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of Turkish music.
