Sultan Bayezid II

Sultan Bayezid II was the Ottoman Sultan from 1481 to 1512, known for his patronage of the arts and architecture. He oversaw a prosperous period in the empire and is remembered for his efforts in expanding and consolidating Ottoman territories, as well as for his contributions to the development of Istanbul as a cultural and political center. His reign also saw significant architectural projects, including the restoration of important mosques.
