Sultan Rahmanov

Sultan Rahmanov was a prominent Ukrainian Soviet weightlifter born on July 6, 1950, in Uzbekistan. He became an Olympic champion in 1980 and set multiple world and national records throughout his career. Despite facing physical challenges due to a childhood injury that left him with legs of different lengths, he achieved remarkable success in weightlifting, including being the first to lift over 200 kg in the clean and jerk. Rahmanov passed away in 2003, leaving a legacy of athletic achievement and community service.
