Suonandajie is a dedicated wildlife protector and key figure in the conservation efforts for the Tibetan antelope in the harsh environment of Hoh Xil, Tibet. Working tirelessly at the Sonam Dajie Protection Station, he plays a crucial role in rescuing orphaned antelope calves, nurturing them in what is affectionately referred to as the 'Tibetan Antelope Kindergarten.' His daily responsibilities include monitoring the health of rescued calves, ensuring their rehabilitation and eventual return to the wild. Suonandajie’s efforts have significantly contributed to the resurgence of the Tibetan antelope population, which has grown from a mere 20,000 individuals to over 70,000 due to concerted conservation initiatives in the region.
