Surachai Thonsing

Surachai Thonsing, aged 64, is the head of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization (อบต.) in Hua Hua, Prachinburi, Thailand. He was recently in the news for being arrested in connection with a corruption case involving extortion of money from small-scale entrepreneurs in exchange for construction permits, amounting to significant sums. Prior to his arrest, he was rumored to have attempted to negotiate with high-ranking police officials to evade prosecution.
