Susana Andrade

Susana Andrade, known as Mae Susana Andrade, is a prominent figure in the Afro-Uruguayan community and a religosa of the Federation IFA of Uruguay-Grupo ATABAQUE. She is recognized for her contributions to Afro-descendant culture and spirituality, particularly through the practice of Afro-Brazilian religions. Andrade is often involved in cultural and social initiatives that promote the heritage and rights of Afro-Uruguayans. Recently, she was in the news for her presence at the velatorio of Mujica, where she paid her respects and shared an affectionate moment with former Vice President Lucía Topolansky.
