Sushana

Sushana is a resident of Weise Road, a community vulnerable to flooding, who indicated her intention to remain at home during Hurricane Melissa. Living on the gully bank with her mother, Sushana is acutely aware of the risks posed by rising waters, stating that the sounds of the gully during storms keep her alert. She prioritized staying close to her home rather than seeking shelter due to concerns about safety and conditions in evacuation centers.
