Sverrir Sigmundarson

Sverrir Sigmundarson is an Icelandic author and the driving force behind the Vasaskrímslaverkefnið, a community project aimed at improving literacy among young Icelanders, particularly boys. Motivated by the alarming statistics surrounding reading skills among Icelandic schoolchildren, he has dedicated himself to creating engaging reading materials. With a background in literary creation, Sverrir has translated and authored numerous books centered around the fictional world of Vasaskrímslin, with the goal of fostering a love for reading among children. As a father of three young boys, he is passionate about addressing educational challenges and has garnered support from various organizations to distribute these books freely to schools across Iceland.
