Sveti Mihailo Ispovednik was a prominent figure in the early Christian Church, known for his strong devotion to Orthodox Christianity. He became a monk at a young age alongside Saint Teofilakt of Nikomedia during the patriarchate of Tarasios. Mihailo participated in the Seventh Ecumenical Council and was sent to negotiate peace with Caliph Harun al-Rashid. He was ultimately exiled by the Byzantine Emperor Leo the Armenian for his unwavering support of icon veneration, living out his final days in poverty while remaining steadfast in his faith.
