Svetlana Davkova-Gorgieva is a distinguished researcher in the field of linguistics and a member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU). She played a significant role as one of the chief editors of the 'Macedonian Dialect Atlas,' a comprehensive project that has garnered attention and acclaim for its extensive documentation of Macedonian dialects. The atlas was recently awarded the state science award for 2025.
