Syed Nazrul Islam
Syed Nazrul Islam was a prominent Bangladeshi politician who served as the acting President of Bangladesh during the Liberation War of 1971. He was elected as a member of the National Assembly in 1970 and played a key role in the country's struggle for independence. Tragically, he was murdered in prison in November 1975.
