Syed Nisa

Syed Nisa is a pioneering footballer from the Kalash Valley in Pakistan, known for breaking gender stereotypes in a community where sports were traditionally seen as a male domain. At just 20 years old, she has inspired many young girls by pursuing her passion for football, overcoming societal pressures and familial doubts. A Master's student at the University of Management and Technology, Nisa plays for the Chitral Women’s Sports Club and is involved in the Karishma Ali Foundation, which empowers young women through sports. Her journey represents a significant shift in perceptions of women's roles in her community, advocating for the importance of sports in personal and cultural identity.
