Szenes Hanna

Szenes Hanna was a Hungarian poet and resistance fighter who was executed on November 7, 1944, during the Nazi occupation of Hungary. She is celebrated for her bravery and commitment to her ideals, particularly her efforts to aid Jewish refugees during the Holocaust. A mural dedicated to her memory, located in Budapest, was recently vandalized, and it was decided that it would remain in its damaged state as a reminder of the ongoing issues of intolerance and hatred.
