Szymon Kuran

Szymon Kuran was a celebrated Polish violinist and co-founder of the jazz band Súld alongside Steingrímur Guðmundsson in 1988. Renowned for his versatility across genres, Szymon was admired for his extraordinary talent but faced personal struggles with depression, leading to his untimely passing 20 years ago. His legacy continues to influence Icelandic music, especially through the remembrance held by his bandmates.
