T. Bach

Thomas Bach is a German lawyer and sports executive who has served as the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 2013. A former Olympic fencer, he won a team gold medal at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Under his leadership, the IOC has focused on promoting the Olympic values, enhancing the Olympic movement's sustainability, and addressing contemporary issues such as gender equality and athlete welfare. Recently, he passed the presidency to Kirsty Coventry, marking a historic moment as she became the first woman and the first African to hold the position.
