Ta Xuan Van

Ta Xuan Van was a prominent Vietnamese architect known for his innovative designs that aimed to harmonize with the cultural heritage of Vietnam. His most notable work, the controversial 'Hàm cá mập' building in Hanoi, was completed in 1993 and faced significant criticism for its design, which diverged from his original vision. Van expressed deep disappointment upon seeing the final construction, as it did not reflect his intended aesthetic. He continued to be involved in architectural discussions until his passing in 2020.
