Taghreed Abdel-Maqsoud Abu Al-Hassan

Taghreed Abdel-Maqsoud Abu Al-Hassan is an Egyptian filmmaker and writer known for her work in cinema that centers on women's narratives. A graduate of the American University in Cairo, she furthered her studies in film in the United States and the United Kingdom. She gained international recognition for her film 'Suno White', which highlights issues surrounding beauty standards and women's empowerment, making her the first to feature a lead character with dwarfism in Egyptian cinema.
