Tamer Al-Betandawy is the current owner of the Al-Betandawy sweets shop in Benha, Qalyubia, which has been a family-run business for over 60 years. He inherited the craft of making traditional Ramadan sweets, including kunafa and qatayef, from his grandfather and father. Under his management, the shop produces an impressive 1.5 tons of kunafa daily, especially during Ramadan, attracting customers from across the region. The shop is renowned for its historical kunafa-making tray, which holds a patent and has been in use for over 40 years.
