Tang Chuan, the former secretary of the Yubei District Committee in Chongqing, was recently in the news for being expelled from the Communist Party and removed from public office due to multiple violations of party conduct, including accepting lavish banquets and high-end alcohol from private business owners, which are serious breaches of the central party's eight-point regulations.
