Tanko Rashid

Tanko Rashid, also known as 'Computer', is the Deputy Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana. He recently made headlines by denying allegations that the NDC deployed vigilantes, referred to as 'machomen', during the Ablekuma North parliamentary election rerun. Rashid emphasized the party's reliance on state security for a peaceful electoral process and asserted that the NDC's victory was achieved through merit rather than intimidation. He also condemned any violence that occurred during the election, attributing some incidents to internal conflicts within the opposing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
