Tariel Chanturia

Tariel Chanturia was a prominent Georgian poet who passed away at the age of 94. He graduated from Tbilisi State University in 1956 with a degree in journalism and published his first poem, 'Nadireba,' in 1951. Over his prolific career, he released several poetry collections, including 'Ltolva' (1964), 'Sakanela' (1965), and 'Mikvarze' (1970). His works have been translated into multiple languages, showcasing the depth and richness of Georgian literature. In addition to poetry, Chanturia authored children's poetry collections, critical essays, and translations, leaving a lasting impact on the literary landscape of Georgia.
