Tasos Tsanas is a skilled diver and a dedicated rescuer who, alongside his colleague Vasilis Vogiatzis, undertook a perilous mission to evacuate people from the beach at Preveli as a raging fire encroached upon the area. His quick thinking and bravery under extreme weather conditions helped save the lives of approximately 60 individuals trapped by the flames and smoke.
