Ted Maher

Ted Maher is a former nurse who gained notoriety for his involvement in the 1999 fire that led to the deaths of billionaire banker Edmond Safra and his nurse, Viviane Torrente, in Monaco. Initially claiming that masked intruders were responsible, Maher later confessed to starting the fire himself in a misguided attempt to portray himself as a hero, leading to his conviction for manslaughter and subsequent imprisonment.
