
Teddy Osei
Teddy Osei was a celebrated Ghanaian musician and saxophonist, best known as a founding member of the Afro-rock band Osibisa. Born in Kumasi, he developed a passion for music at an early age and honed his skills playing the saxophone while forming bands with friends. After studying music in London, he returned to establish Osibisa in 1969, which gained international acclaim in the 1970s for its unique blend of African rhythms and rock music. Osei's contributions to the music industry helped shape the global perception of African music, and he remained an influential figure until his passing at the age of 88 in January 2025.
