Teodor Gheorghe Negoiță

Teodor Gheorghe Negoiță was a pioneering Romanian explorer, born on September 27, 1947, who made history as the first Romanian to reach the North Pole in 1995. He founded Romania's first permanent research station in Antarctica and led multiple expeditions to polar regions, significantly contributing to the field of polar research. Negoiță passed away on March 23, 2011.
