Teodorin Nguema Obiang

Teodorin Nguema Obiang is the son of Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the long-serving President of Equatorial Guinea. As the vice-president and a prominent figure in the country's government, he has been embroiled in controversy due to allegations of corruption and embezzlement. In 2021, French courts convicted him of corruption related to assets acquired through illicit means, leading to the confiscation of luxurious properties, including a mansion in Paris. This mansion, valued at over 100 million euros, is a focal point of a legal dispute between Equatorial Guinea and France, as the government of Equatorial Guinea has sought international legal redress to regain access to the seized property.
