Teresa Lavery

Teresa Lavery, originally from Belfast, was married twice, first to historian Shelby Foote and later to Kermit Beahan, the bombardier who dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki. Her life intertwined with significant historical events, including her tumultuous marriage to Foote, which ended in divorce shortly after World War II, and her long-lasting relationship with Beahan, with whom she had two children.
