
Teréz Anya
Teréz Anya, or Mother Teresa, was a Roman Catholic nun and missionary known for her charitable work with the poor and sick in Calcutta, India. Born on August 26, 1910, in Skopje, she founded the Missionaries of Charity, a religious congregation dedicated to helping the 'poorest of the poor.' Her selfless dedication to humanitarian causes earned her numerous accolades, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Teréz Anya is celebrated globally for her compassion and commitment to alleviating suffering, and she was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 2016.
