Thanasis Karatzas

Thanasis Karatzas is a Greek photographer known for his captivating portrayal of Athens' nightlife. He began his journey in 2005, initially taking photographs as personal souvenirs while working in a bank. Over the years, his passion for capturing the vibrant social dynamics of the city transformed photography from a hobby into his profession. His extensive collection of 250,000 images ultimately led to the publication of a photobook titled 'Athens AM,' featuring 88 carefully selected black-and-white photographs that reflect the essence of Athens after dark. Karatzas has been recognized for his unique storytelling through photography, which has garnered attention on international platforms such as the Paris Photo festival.
