Dr. Thandiwe Matthews is an attorney and lecturer in Human Rights, Law, and Development Studies at the Wits School of Governance, known for her critical analyses of violations of Palestinian rights, including arbitrary detention and the targeting of civilians, and for her advocacy on the legal responsibilities of states and corporations in the context of international law.
