
Thanin Kraivichien
Thanin Kraivichien was the 14th Prime Minister of Thailand, serving from 1976 to 1977. Born on April 5, 1947, he was a prominent lawyer and politician who played a significant role in Thai history, especially during a tumultuous period marked by political unrest and the threat of communism. His administration focused on anti-communist policies, anti-corruption measures, and drug suppression, although it faced criticism for authoritarian practices and media censorship. After his government was overthrown in a coup, he continued to serve as a privy councilor until his passing in 2023.
