The Orb

The Orb is a British electronic music duo formed in 1988, known for their pioneering work in the ambient house genre. Comprising Alex Paterson and various collaborators, the group gained fame for their innovative use of samples and incorporation of elements from various musical styles, including dub, ambient, and techno. Their influential album 'The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld' helped define the sound of the 1990s rave culture. The Orb has been celebrated for their immersive live performances and continues to be a significant presence in the electronic music scene, recently being announced as a performer at the Station Narva music festival in Estonia.
