Themistocles Sofoulis

Themistocles Sofoulis was a prominent Greek politician and leader of the movement for the liberation of Samos from Ottoman rule. He played a critical role in the events leading up to the island's unification with Greece in 1913, particularly during the turmoil of the early 20th century when he led armed resistance against the ruling Ottoman governor, Andreas Kopasis.
