Théophile Niyimbona

Théophile Niyimbona is a former deputy and a political activist affiliated with the CNL party, who was recently reported kidnapped from the Ruseseka communal high school in Mabayi, Cibitoke province. His abduction has raised concerns among his family and party members, particularly as he had recently switched allegiance to the CNDD-FDD party. Witnesses described a sudden and forceful removal by individuals in a pickup truck, highlighting a troubling trend of intimidation and arbitrary arrests targeting former CNL members in the region.
