Thomas Coke (1747-1814) was an English Methodist minister and a significant figure in the early development of Methodism in the United States. He was appointed by John Wesley to oversee the American Methodist movement and played a key role in the ordination of the first Methodist ministers in America. Coke's organizational skills and commitment to spreading Methodism led to the establishment of a strong Methodist presence in America and his legacy continues to influence the church today.
