Thomas Oberreiter

Thomas Oberreiter, a 59-year-old diplomat, served as Austria's ambassador to the European Union in Brussels starting in 2023. He recently made headlines after it was revealed that he had been running an anonymous blog focused on sexual relationships since 2015. The blog reportedly contained graphic descriptions and sexual fantasies. Oberreiter resigned from his position citing personal reasons following the revelation of the blog, which prompted an investigation by the Austrian Foreign Ministry after the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Beata Meinl-Reisinger, became aware of it.
