Thoutmosis II was a pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, who reigned approximately 3,500 years ago. He is known for being an ancestor of the famous boy king Tutankhamun and for marrying his half-sister, Hatchepsout. His tomb was recently discovered near the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, marking one of the most significant archaeological finds in recent years, although it had been emptied in antiquity.
