Tiago Cação is a Portuguese ultramarathon cyclist known for his advocacy of urban mobility and sustainability. He gained media attention for his ambitious 'Project 278', where he cycled through all 278 municipalities of mainland Portugal, covering 6,250 kilometers to promote better urban mobility policies ahead of local elections. Inspired by the urban mobility successes he observed in Manchester, Cação delivered letters proposing measures to enhance cycling infrastructure and pedestrian-friendly spaces.
