Tianshan Shengli

Tianshan Shengli is a newly opened highway in China, recognized as the longest expressway in the world, stretching 22.13 kilometers. Officially opened to traffic on October 26, 2023, this highway traverses the Tianshan Mountains in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. It has set two world records for being the longest expressway and for having the deepest horizontal surface. The completion of this highway significantly reduces travel time between the major cities of Urumqi and Korla, enhancing economic integration in the region.
