Tianzhuo Chen

Tianzhuo Chen is a 39-year-old Chinese artist and director known for his innovative and immersive performances that blend elements of theatre, dance, and electronic music. He gained attention for his 12-hour psychedelic theatre-rave performance, 'Trance,' which explores themes of Buddhism and reincarnation through a unique artistic lens. Chen, an alumnus of Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts, founded the music-art-dance collective Asian Dope Boys in 2015, garnering a cult following for its avant-garde shows. His work often bridges cultural divides and challenges traditional performance boundaries, creating emotionally resonant experiences for audiences.
