
Tiede Herrema
Tiede Herrema was a Dutch businessman who was kidnapped by members of the IRA in 1975 while managing the Ferenka factory in Limerick, Ireland. His abduction lasted 36 days and garnered significant media attention as he was forced to record propaganda messages under duress. Herrema eventually survived the ordeal and later donated his papers detailing his experience to the University of Limerick. He passed away in 2020.
