Todd Astill

Todd Astill is a Central Hawke’s Bay entrepreneur who, alongside his wife Rachel, transformed a cancelled school bus route into a successful business. After the Ministry of Education terminated the bus service that transported their son, Ollie, to Karamū High School, Todd and Rachel purchased a 22-seater bus and began offering transport for local students, charging $50 per week per child. Their initiative quickly filled up, leading to the expansion of their fleet with larger buses to accommodate school trips and other transport needs, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the community.
