Todd Kuiack

Todd Kuiack is a member of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation and the former national director of Indigenous Services Canada’s emergency assistance program. He has been vocal about the need for improved emergency management for First Nations, emphasizing that these communities are disproportionately affected by wildfires. Recently, he highlighted the critical gaps in Canada's response to the wildfire crisis, advocating for more robust emergency plans and better collaboration between First Nations and government at all levels.
