Tolibon
The Taliban is an Islamic militant group that emerged in the early 1990s in Afghanistan, known for its strict interpretation of Sharia law and governance. After being ousted from power in 2001, the group waged a prolonged insurgency against U.S. and Afghan government forces, eventually regaining control of Afghanistan in August 2021 following the withdrawal of U.S. troops. Recently, the Taliban has faced international criticism for its inability to control terrorist activities along its borders, particularly in relation to incursions into Tajikistan, which has raised concerns about regional security and stability.
