Tom Hayden

Tom Hayden was an American social and political activist, author, and politician, best known for his role in the anti-war movement during the 1960s. He was a prominent figure in the Students for a Democratic Society and co-authored the Port Huron Statement, a manifesto for a generation seeking social change. Hayden was married to actress Jane Fonda from 1973 to 1990, and together they championed various progressive causes, including civil rights and environmental activism.
