Tomás R. Guilarte

Tomás R. Guilarte is a Cuban-American neuroscientist and the dean of the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work at Florida International University. His research focuses on neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease. Recently, he led a team that discovered a biomarker that could facilitate early detection of Alzheimer's, potentially allowing for earlier therapeutic interventions.
