Tommy Kontz

Tommy Kontz, born in 1943, was a prominent figure in the Luxembourg automotive industry, having led the Arnold Kontz Group since 1989. He played a crucial role in expanding the family's business, which was founded in 1917, to include prestigious brands such as Rover, Land Rover, MINI, and Jaguar. Kontz was not only a businessman but also a qualified automotive mechanic, ensuring a deep understanding of the industry. He guided the company until 2005, when his son Benji joined the management team. Kontz's legacy is marked by a return to the company's roots in the bicycle business after the sale of several automotive brands. He passed away on a Thursday, leaving behind his wife Annemie, two children, and four grandchildren.
