Tony Bulandra was a prominent Romanian actor born on March 13, 1881, in Târgovişte. He embraced theater from a young age and was mentored by the esteemed Constantin I. Nottara. Renowned for his roles in both French plays and significant works of universal drama by authors such as Shakespeare and Ibsen, Bulandra co-founded the Bulandra Theater Company with his wife, Lucia Sturdza Bulandra. He was also a translator, director, and set designer, remembered for his intellectual stature and dedication to the arts. He passed away on April 5, 1943.
