Torsten Wiesel

Torsten Wiesel is a Swedish neuroscientist who received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1981 for his discoveries concerning the visual system. Wiesel has dedicated his career to understanding the brain and its functions, and he is known for his advocacy for science education and research. He recently participated in a petition with fellow Nobel laureates to call for increased support for Ukraine in light of the Russian invasion.
