Tran Dinh Hien was a renowned Vietnamese translator and scholar, best known for his successful translations of works by Nobel laureate Mo Yan, including 'Big Breasts and Wide Hips' and 'The Treasure of Life'. Born in 1933 in Vinh Phuc, he studied classical Chinese language at Peking University and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing. Hien dedicated his life to bridging Vietnamese and Chinese literature, earning respect for his deep understanding of both cultures. He passed away at the age of 92 due to age-related illness, leaving a legacy of literary contributions that enriched Vietnamese literature.
